AirForce One is known for many things. Wine is not something that would usually come to mind. But for me, it’s the first thing that pops in my head!

You know Obama must have some rough days in the office and just want to chill on the plane with a nice big glass of …cabernet? I’m a Chicago native and played hoops as well in college; so I can relate somewhat to him ;-P So my question is to all you out there, and to Mr. President himself; What does Obama fill his glass with? Dom Perignon?! Crystal?!

Something under $20 and he’s my new hero

Airwines series- Part 1

Flying and wine don’t normally go hand in hand, but at the Pima Air and Space Museum aka the AF Graveyards in Tucson, AZ I figured why can’t they! On the ground of course if you are the Top Gun fighter pilot, named Tom Cruise.

Top Gun was the first movie that came to mind when I came up to an F-14 Tom Cat Fighter Plane and that had me thinking- what wine would Mr. Tom Cruise have had after a great flight?

I’m guessing something nice and smooth like a Sacre Bleu Pinot Noir and a little something sweeter after to woo the girl, maybe a Michele Chiarlo Nivole Moscato D’Asti 08′ … yumm!!!

And The Christmas Cab flight I had in order from my video was the ZD Winery Cab Sauv, Napa Valley 06, the Australian Plantagenet Cab Sauv 04, and my favorite out of the bunch the Chilean Vina Quebrada de Macul Cab. Sauv. 04 from the Domus Aurea region. Enjoy that baby with a nice steak diane to really bring out the juiciness of the vino!
