Complexity New Zealand Wine, Neudorf Winery and JustJess of Wine Channel TV
Wine and social media is what WineChannelTV is all about. Judy Finn of New Zealand’s Neudorf Vineyards is also leading the front on the social media wagon in NZ and was the resident tweeter at the New Zealand Complexity wine event in Denver. So, I knew I had to catch up with her to hear her thoughts on wine and social media both here and in New Zealand.
Judy and her husband Tim Finn founded Neudorf Vineyards, located in the Upper Moutere Valley of Nelson, in 1978.
Neudorf Vineyards is known for producing one of New Zealand’s best Chardonnay’s, and also has gained notice for it’s Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris wines.
As stated on their site, a UK wine writer found Neudorf to be ‘New Zealand’s convincing answer to premier cru Puligny Montrachet’. Their Chardonnay has ripe fruit notes, yet a certain softness from its melolactic fermentation, which makes it quite delicious.
Neudorf has won many accolades for its wine such as Tom Stevenson’s UK based Wine Report 2009 claiming Neudorf as “New Zealand’s greatest wine producer.” After getting a chance to sample many of their wines, such as their 2008 Chardonnay, Neudorf definitely lives up its great press!
