Just Jess and Wine Channel TV Taste Wine with The Wine Clip
I met the owners of The Wine Clip while in Chicago at the International Housewares show. They claimed that the clip would help soften and aerate the wine in a short amount of time, decreasing the tannins and leaving you with a smoother wine.
The owners of The Wine Clip sent one out to me and I was very eager to test it. The clip goes straight on your bottle, and you can point it up or downwards to get a different taste. The magnets in the clip are the main force being used to improve the wine.
I tested it out with a Wal-Mart wine that I had just reviewed, Red Diamond Merlot. The Merlot was very earthy to begin with, with toasted oak and vanilla notes. After snapping on the wine clip, the flavor did lose some of the tannic notes and spice resulting in a smoother more delicious wine!
For around $39.95 on their site ( $34.99 @Target), I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to aerate their wine quickly or with a cheap bottle of wine that you otherwise would pour down the drain.
