Raymond Vineyards and WineChannelTV at the Chicago Botanic Garden
Rain or shine, it’s always a great time for wine, especially at the Chicago Botanic Garden which is open 364 days a year.
I visited the Chicago Botanic Garden quite often growing up and it’s only grown since then. The Garden is 385 acres large with 24 world-renowned display gardens, and it’s one of the most visited public gardens in the country.
I happened to stop by on this occasion for the Chicago Botanic Garden Wine Festival and meet with Raymond Vineyards to sample some of their finest wine.
Raymond Vineyards, based in St.Helena, California, has had their last three vintages rated 90 points or higher.
We tasted their 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, which was a fruit forward California bomb. It had a rich, full mouth feel with notes of boysenberry, black pepper and vanilla in the smooth finish, making this a great pairing for smoked duck sausage or a grilled ribeye.
Watch Dan from Raymond Vineyard’s and WineChannelTV to get a taste of what this great wine is all about!
