Spy Valley Wines Introduces “Easy Tiger”
As the All Blacks vs Team USA Rugby took center stage in Chicago this past week, we had a chance to get to share some wine and food dishes specially prepared for the historic match. In this featured Sip New Zealand segment, Chef Rodelio Aglibot from Reverie Chicago with Wine Channel TV host, Jessica Altieri, pair some Chicago Style dishes with Spy Valley wines.
Want to get to know more about Spy Valley? As part of a research partnership between 13 other Marlborough wineries and the Ministry of Primary Industries in New Zealand, Spy Valley Wines has teamed up with the Lifestyles Wines project to release their first Low Alcohol Sauvignon Blanc “Easy Tiger.” The initiative of the Lifestyle Wines project is a 7 year innovative research and partnership that focuses on producing high-quality, low-alcohol, low-calorie wines in a natural way. One outstanding fact is that the Lifestyle Wines project is the largest Research and Development program ever conducted by New Zealand’s viticulture sector!
In order to produce low-alcohol wine the natural way, Spy Valley Wines will use sustainable practices including the amount of sun exposure, native yeasts, and fermentation time periods.
Easy Tiger is a Sauvignon Blanc with a light, refreshing taste that fits well with the fact that it is a low-alcohol wine. Think this practice may greatly affect the overall taste of the wine? With a low-alcohol wine and 30% less calories than Spy Valley’s 2014 Sauvignon Blanc, you will find that there is an amazing balance and the taste of the wine has an incredible burst of flavor. Give it a try and sip easy with New Zealand! Cheers!
