I went to Wal-Mart today with less than five bucks on purpose. I knew which wine I was going for.
I kind of was putting this off…
The so-called “wal-mart branded wine” Oak Leaf Vineyards, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Believe me , I was ready to pour this down the drain when I got home. I mean what wine could actually be drink-able for less than 3 bucks?!?
Well, now I know the truth! 2 buck chuck and a bunch of wines in the $10-15 dollar range have some competition!
This vino was $2.97 and…delish! The bright, raspberry and blackberry aromas wonderfully balanced the smooth baked cherry & boysenberry flavors.
The hint of oak and bright cherry notes makes this wine a great pairing for a nice roasted cherry tomato and angel hair pasta…or even some juicy, White Castle sliders?!
Speaking of White Castle, did I mention to all you WCTV vino followers that I will be doing a Valentine’s Day commercial with WHITE CASTLE featuring sliders and of course, wine!
!
Stay tuned for more info. in the upcoming days .. all you slider fans & wine-o’s won’t want to miss this!
Cheers!
