WineChannelTV at Whole Foods for Rioja and Opus One Tasting

At close to $200, Opus One is not your everyday wine. So, what do you do if you’ve never tried it and want to get a taste with out cleaning out your wallet? Head to your nearest Whole Foods Market!

I stopped by the Whole Food Market off of North Avenue in Chicago for a delicious Vibrant Rioja Tasting with a good friend, Saurabh Kathuria. The 100% Tempranillo , La Rioja Alta Vina Alberdi was the highlight of the group at around $22. It’smooth, burnt cherry, spicebox flavor was just screaming for some paella on the side.

This Whole Foods has 3 floors, a beer bar, wine bar and a few restaurants. I was in heaven!

But, the best part I have yet to get to, the tasting bar. For only $7.50, you could indulge in a taste of that Opus One without breaking the bank. I also found out that you can walk around with your wine glass while shopping; now that’s a fun and cheap date idea!

Take a look at WineChannelTV at Whole Foods to see what this tasting is all about!

Cheers,

JustJess
