The Border Grill at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada has all the obvious necessities for a wonderful Mexican restaurant… great authentic food options, refreshing margaritas and surprisingly … excellent wine !
I knew I was in for a real Mexican delight when I heard that the restaurant is owned by the hosts of Food Network’s “Too Hot Tamales” Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Sue Feniger.
I only had time to stop by for a glass and a few chips before my meeting. I was looking for something earthy yet with a kick to complement the chips and spiciness of the salsa I munched on.
The Ombu Malbec was the perfect choice and hit the spot. This Malbec from San Rafael, Argentina was around 10 bucks and worth every penny for this wonderfully balanced, earthy bold red.
Take a look at WineChannelTV’s video to see what a great atmosphere this place really has!
Cheers!

Nice review. I especially liked the “feel” of The Border Grill that came across.
Thanks Jess!
