2014 IWCTV Awards Meet The Judges – Part 1
We’re excited for this years International Wine Channel TV Awards Competition and more excited about the “uber cool” group of judges. Meet the first group of judges you need to you!
Emma Swain is the CEO of St Supéry Estate Vineyards and Winery from Napa Valley, California. Having worked in the wine industry for 20 years, she is also board member for the Napa Valley Vintners. Emma also holds a variety of different interests including volunteer work and helps a number of local environmental, educational and health-based charities.
Courtney Humiston, a Certified Sommelier, is also the Wine Director at Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen. She is a well-known writer for the wine industry and her work has been in several publications including The World of Fine Wine and she has even been honored as a fellowship recipient at the Symposium for Professional Wine Writers in Napa.
Titled as the 2009 Best Sommelier of Sonoma Count and also the official Sommelier Star Host of the 2011 Sonoma Wine Country Weekend, Chris Sawyer is a renowned international sommelier. Not only has Chris been an elite judge for many different wine tasting competitions, but he is also a highly esteemed consultant and critic.
Working his way throughout the wine industry, Andre Hueston Mack has years of experience from working for a variety of small Texas vineyards to a sommelier at Thomas Keller’s world-renowned The French Laundry to the Head Sommelier at Keller’s Per Se in New York City. With the education and experience, Andre was honored in 2007 with The Network Journal’s 40-Under-Forty Achievement Award is now the winemaker for Mouton Noir Wines.
Jessica Altieri has captured the hearts of wine lovers around the globe, creating one-of-a-kind wine lifestyle experiences by harnessing the power of digital content with social media. Jess is a Certified Sommelier, best known for reaching Millennials through innovative content, live events and social media. She founded the world’s fastest-growing digital wine lifestyle network, Wine Channel TV, in 2009, and works with some of the world’s leading brands, trade associations and lifestyle companies.
With an immense amount of knowledge about wine and impressive careers, all of our judges will play a key part at the competition. Keep your eyes out for the next upcoming Meet the Wine Judges: Parts 2-5 as we get closer to the 2014 International Wine Channel TV Awards!
