2014 International Wine Channel TV AwardsWith the upcoming 2014 International Wine Channel TV Awards this September, it’s time you get to know who the judges will be at this prestigious competition. The competition will be held September 16-17 and we’d like you to get to know a few judges: Erica Stancliff, Aeron Lancero, Joel Green, and Janet Pouchot.

Erica Stancliff has been surrounded by the wine industry throughout her whole life including working as an assistant winemaker Trombetta Family Winery, her family’s own California winery and abroad in Mendoza, Argentina.

Aeron Lancero has worked for a number of years in hospitality and business management. Currently the Chief Operating Officer for Intrestco Group; a lifestyle, hospitality, and investment company, Aeron has worked for many infamous hotels including the Hyatt, Pacific Star Hotel and the Pacific Island Club. His experience also includes opening a number of restaurants and nightclubs throughout the USA and overseas in China, Japan, Hong Kong, and the Micronesian Islands.

Joel Green is currently the General Manager and Winemaker for Safe Harbor Wines. After he graduated from UC Davis in 2002, he began his first years in winemaking at Kenwood Vineyards and Winery where he became Assistant Winemaker.

Currently working as the North American Campaign Manager for a fine wine profiling initiative with the Government of New Zealand, Janet Pouchot , a previous sommelier for Restaurant DANIEL, knows her wines from the Oceania region. Janet has also received an extensive amount of experience as the Eastern US Sales Manager for Australian and New Zealand Wine Importer, Negociants.

With an immense amount of experience in the wine industry and their impressive careers, all of our judges will play a key part at the competition. Keep your eyes out for the next upcoming Meet the Wine Judges: Parts 3-5 as we get closer to the 2014 International Wine Channel TV Awards!
