Say Hello To Trinchero Napa Valley
Trinchero Napa Valley Supports Primo Classico
Wine Channel TV is always thankful to partners like Trinchero Napa Valley for their hand in the success of this year’s Primo Classico event benefitting the Primo Center, an organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of intergenerational homelessness and poverty for families in Chicago. Trinchero Napa Valley generously donated their world-class wines and a deluxe Napa Valley wine basket at this year’s 5th Annual 2016 Primo Classico’s reception.
Trinchero Napa Valley produces top-notch wines from a collection of estate vineyards spanning 200 acres in St. Helena, Mt. Veeder, Atlas Peak and Rutherford. Trinchero Napa Valley wines are made from the finest blocks on sustainably farmed vineyards throughout Napa Valley, reflecting the pristine, estate-grown grapes, thoughtfully tended in the vineyard and ultimately hand-picked and scrupulously hand-sorted in the cellar. Trinchero Napa Valley’s barrel room is home to oak barrels from some of the most respected coopers in France.
Mario Monticelli, Trinchero Napa Valley’s winemaker, believes that, “In its highest form, a wine should convey what the land gives us. Translating terroir—there’s a bit of magic to that. When we get it right, the vineyard comes alive in the glass.” We’re sure the lucky winners of the Trinchero Napa Valley wines from the Primo Classico would agree, Mario Monticelli’s words ring true in the Trinchero Napa Valley bottles.
For those who have the privilege of visiting Trinchero Napa Valley, you won’t want to miss the winery’s tasting room, a work of art unto itself. The winery is complete with stunning views from the heart of Napa Valley of Spring Mountain to the west and Howell Mountain to the east. The lucky winners of the Trinchero Napa Valley gift basket will have the opportunity to tour the estate and indulge in exclusive Trinchero Napa Valley wines: Trinchero Napa Valley’s gift basket for the 5th Annual Primo Classico auction included four tasting room-only wines, four complimentary tours and tasting cards, and other Napa Valley-themed items.
In addition to the gift basket, Primo Classico guests had the opportunity to bid on two choice Trinchero Napa Valley wines: Trinchero Napa Valley 2013 Haystack Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Trinchero Napa Valley 2015 Vera’s Vineyard Chardonnay Vera’s Vineyard. The 2013 Haystack Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of cassis and dark fruit, underscored by violet and mineral notes. On the palate, black fruit flavors are enhanced by hints of licorice and earth. The texture of this wine is full-bodied, yet inviting, with rustic tannins that linger through a long-lasting finish. Consider grabbing a bottle for Thanksgiving to pair with darker meats and cranberry sauces, roasted garlic vegetable dishes and cheese-based appetizers.
Thanks again to Trinchero Napa Valley for their generosity and first-rate sips. Stay tuned to the Wine Channel TV Digital Network for holiday food and wine pairings coming later this month. Cheers!
