Wine Channel TV New Zealand with Seresin EstateWe love fun pairings and when you take a place called Wrigley Field, celebrating it’s 100 year anniversary, there are plenty of great pairing options. Yes, you could go with the traditional hot dogs and beer. But for the #NZSipsChicago event, featuring the wines from Complexity Fine Wines, we had a whole “nine innings” of choices.

We caught up with Clive Dougall, winemaker for Seresin Estate for a “bloody good” conversation about wine, innings, outs and fly balls.

After taste-testing fine wines at Wrigley Field on June 8, Complexity New Zealand Fine Wine also hosted a Masterclass on June 9 highlighting the different New Zealand wine varieties. Wine Channel TV CEO, Jessica Altieri, joined Complexity to further educate people about the many different wines from New Zealand with  winemakers from the vineyards of Seresin, Nautilus, Cloudy Bay, Mud House, Mt. Difficulty, Villa Maria, Quartz Reef, Spy Valley, and Felton Road. Attending wine tastings and learning about the winemaking process it is a great way to broaden your horizons and see what is available in the world of wines.

At the wine tasting, the audience learned more about six different wine regions throughout New Zealand including: Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Martinborough, Marlborough, Waipara, and Central Otago. Not only are wine classes a great way to learn more about wine, but you get to meet other wine fans in your community and of course, wine is a conversation just waiting to happening. Grab some friends and attend an upcoming wine tasting to try a new wine and learn something new from these excellent winemakers or be sure to be on the lookout for New Zealand wines from these regions. Cheers and stay tuned to Wine Channel TV for more featured wines from #NZSipsChicago
